Ibis el greco was founded in 1988.
It has since grown in a fully dedicated destination management company
and congress organizer, operating all over Greece with head office in Crete.
All proud members of the team are young, highly trained, experienced and fully aware of the challenges of modern day organizing.
While still having heaps of fun, we take our job very seriously.

Yves Maebe
I am the boss, not always the most enjoyable place to be in. I founded ibis el greco, a mere green 27 years old, learnt all the tricks on the field and remember warmly these first struggling years.
When relaxing I like sailing, diving… the sea is my great love.
One of the great prides in my life is the team I have assembled over the years, dedicated to the success of all our events.
Maria Leventi
Hi, my name is Maria and I have been working for ibis el greco since 2001. From the beginning I had the feeling that I would become member of a big happy “family”. This impression was correct.
I search for new contacts, organize conferences and I do think I have the necessary skills for this department. I like planning, organizing and working with my colleagues in order to achieve the best result.
I’m satisfied and proud of my work and of our team. I’m lucky to have always the support of my husband and of my two young daughters, when work gets more and more demanding. I suppose they understand that this job makes me happy, and this becomes extremely difficult to find nowadays, correct…?
Silke Butzlaff
Guten Tag, I am Silke from Germany.
Years ago I visited Greece on holiday and ended up living in Crete and -best of all- working in ibis el greco, for almost 6 years now. My job is to organize the Incentives and Events. Since I am the “artist” in the office, it’s obvious that I like to be creative. This combination is my secret success.
In my free time I love traveling around in Crete, exploring its fascinating scenery, meeting people, cooking the Cretan cuisine, relaxing on the beach, having just a good time…
Natalie Papadaki
Bonjour je m’appele Nathalie, a French girl who fell in love with Crete and my greek husband.
My job is to find and handle all the hotel rooms to make your event a happy one and ensure all participants an unforgettable stay.
One of my biggest goals in life, which I have nearly achieved, is to learn Greek, thanks to my colleagues which were the best of teachers.
But my accent remains to be worked upon…

Hi I am Zoe, traffic responsible. Every single day is different (like all days in life should be) and that’s what I like about my job, its never boring and I have an every day deadline.
That’s what makes it even more fascinating for me… from this you can understand a lot about my character……
I have been here from the day I was born I think. I would not be anywhere else—here I have the best colleagues and the best boss ever….
Nikos Thrapsaniotakis
I am Nikos - airport responsible - a part of this company for seven years already.
Time flies here in ibis, you see the team is so good and we have a great time altogether.
Apart from working I like reading and traveling in my convertible…
Vasso Angelaki
Kalimera, I am Vasso.
I am responsible for the branch office in Corfu, a new wonderfully green destination.
My main job is still to plan and map all the MICE possibilities for the exploding demand for this island. I am happily married with a French man.
He is a real treasure, but guess, who learns faster: me French or he Greek????
Kostas Papadakis
I am Kostas, technical responsible and chief driver for the bus fleet .
To do a job like mine requires a lot of patience which is something I am full of.
Apart from being a driver I am also Cretan which means I like all Cretan hobbies-hunting, raki, good food and “parea”.
Parea, the magical word if you ever want to understand Greece: company, friends, visitors.
Anastasia Kotsifaki
Hi I am Anastasia. I have been the chief Accountant for 15 years.
In the accounting department we don’t have the pleasure to organize the happiness of those who choose to come to Greece.
We convert and control numbers, we quarrel with the tax department and with Yves who is never happy with our numbers.
I hope this will last for many more years.
I do my job with a lot of pleasure...
Dimitra Kokkinou
Gia sas: is like kalimera but a bit more informal.
I am Dimitra, for 18 years the assistant accountant.
Believe me when I say it is still exiting for me.
You must love numbers of course. I decided to make myself even more useful and I now enrolled as a student in the Open University studying economics.
Not the easiest thing to do, but when you have the support from friends, family, my husband Kostas and the boss everything is possible.
George Konstantakis
I'm George.
My position is Manager of I.T. Department.
I manage the computers, their programs, our websites, printers, servers and stuff like that.
The hard part is to manage people but thank god this is someone else’s job.
I'm really happy that I'm part of ibis el greco team the last 3 years.
